Tent Peak Climbing is also known as Tharpu Chuli in Nepali. It offers the short trekking peak climbing experience in the Annapurna region. The trip combines Annapurna Base Camp that goes through the Modi Riverbank and passes the picturesque Gurung villages. This peak climbing is situated in the heart of Annapurna region. The usual route to this peak climbing follows the north-west ridge to the summit. This mountaineering offers you the thrilling experience of climbing with magnificent Himalayan vistas. While trekking in this route we will pass through interesting terraced farmland, meanders through Rhododendron forest and many other different ethnic settlements. The landscape is equally charming of the rice field, waterfall, and the alpine glacial range. Trekking in this peak climbing offers an interesting climb to the top and also offers a wonderful view of Annapurna ranges. It has been an attractive challenge for the climber.

Tent Peak Climbing starts from Pokhara valley after 6 hours driving from the Kathmandu valley which offers an ideal opportunity for those who want to summits a Himalayan peak. This peak climbing is usually both technically and physically very challenging activity that’s why we need special skill to mountaineering. To climb the peaks you will need to have basic mountaineering skills like ice axes, walking on crampon, utilizing rope techniques, glacier walking, rock climbing etc. The climber will require a moderate level of fitness but will prove to be a very rewarding adventure. In this climbing, you will offer the finest experience of culture, nature, and adventure. The season between April to May and October to November is the best season to trekking in this peak climbing. We climb up to both Macchapuchare and Annapurna Base Camp, a thrilling experience before we set up our tented camp for this peak climbing lead by Expert Adventure Mountain Guide.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu

Day 02:  Drive to Naya Pul and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft) 5-6 hrs

Day 03: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft) 6 hrs

Day 04: Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600m/8,530ft) 5-6 hrs

Day 05: Dobhan to Deurali (3,230m/10,597ft) 1 hour

Day 06: Deurali to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft) 3-4 hrs

Day 07: Acclimatization in Machhapuchre Base Camp

Day 08: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Cave Camp (4,250m/13,943ft) 5-6 hrs

Day 09: Cave Camp to High Camp (5,200m/17,056 ft) 4-5 hrs

Day 10: Summit Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp 9-10 hrs

Day 11: Tent Peak High Camp to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 hrs

Day 12: Machapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) 6-7 hrs

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara 6 hrs

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Pokhara city after spending the wonderful night in the Kathmandu valley. We will have our breakfast on the way. During the time of trekking in the way, we get many opportunities to see the natural beauty of Nepal which makes our trekking more enjoyable and memorable. After 5 to 6 hours drive from the Kathmandu valley, we will reach in Pokhara city which is also known as the city of the lake where we will spend one night.   

Day 03:  Drive to Naya Pul and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft) 5-6 hrs

Today after having breakfast we slowly walk towards Naya Pul which is just one hour from Pokhara. At the time of trekking, we pass by the beautiful villages and admire the rural lifestyle of western Nepal and we get a good view of the mountain of this region and we will spend one night in the Beautiful Gurung village Ghanddruk.   

Day 04: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft) 6 hrs

In the morning we will have our breakfast the start our trekking towards Chhomrong and we will climb for an hour up to Ghandrukkot and then a steep descent takes us to the Kimron Khola. We will pass through the beautiful Gurung Village, the lush forest of rhododendron and keep walking until we don’t reach Chhomrong where we will spend overnight.  

Day 05: Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600m/8,530ft) 5-6 hrs

The trails move along the Modi Khola leaving behind inhabitants foothills. We will pass through a thick forest of the Rhododendron up to the Khuldighar before reach at Dhobhan village where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.    

Day 06: Dobhan to Deurali (3,230m/10,597ft) 1 hour

We will slowly start our trekking towards Deurali after having breakfast in the hotel. Our trekking, pass through Himalaya hotel and Hinku Cave before reach in Deurali and we will spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 07: Deurali to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft) 3-4 hrs

About a half an hour walk from Deurali, we find ourselves in the middle of a river bed surrounded by the giant snow-covered mountains and on the way we will enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain then keep walking until we don’t reach our destination where we will spend one night.   

Day 08: Acclimatization in Machhapuchre Base Camp 

We don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Machhapuchre Base Camp. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 09: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Cave Camp (4,250m/13,943ft) 5-6 hrs

During the trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and pine forest. We will have our lunch on the way and we will climb steeply towards the slippery and challenging path and we will have lunch on the way and take some rest then after keep walking until we don’t reach Cave Camp and we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 10: Cave Camp to High Camp (5,200m/17,056 ft) 4-5 hrs

On this day trek, we walk on the glacier of 30 degrees with the wonderful views of the mountain like Himchuli, Annapurna south, Machhapuchher, and others. We will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach the high camp where we will spend one night.   

Day 11: Summit Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp 9-10 hrs

We wake up early in the morning for summiting the Tent Peak after having breakfast in the hotel. After reach in the Tent Peak, we will explore all around the High Camp then after we will back towards to the Base Camp and we will spend one night in the High Camp.   

Day 12:  High Camp to Machapuchhre Base Camp 4-5 Hrs

We leave High Camp for Machapuchhre. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and pine forest. We will have our lunch on the way and we will climb steeply towards the slippery and challenging path and we will have lunch on the way and take some rest then after keep walking until we don’t reach Machapuchhre Base Camp and we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 13: Machapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) 6-7 hrs

We can enjoy great views of the mountain like Annapurna Himal, Machhapucchher, and Dhaulagiri and have our lunch in the way. At the time of trekking, we also come across small hot spring where we can dip in and soothe our aching muscles and spend one night in the beautiful village.   

Day 14: Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1760m/5770 ft) 6-7 hrs

Today we will walk more remote area of the Annapurna region from where we can see the wonderful views of the mountains like Annapurna Himal, Dhaulagiri, and fishtail Himal from this trail and keep walking we don’t reach in Jhinu Dada and spend overnight in this village. 

Day 15: Jhinu Dada to Naya Pul, drive to Pokhara: 6 Hrs

From Jhinu Dada, we will move towards Naya Pul. We will have our lunch on the way. We also pass through the small scenic settlements and the Tore monastery and get to enjoy the breathtaking village. After reach in Naya Pul, We will slowly walk towards Pokhara where we will spend one night.  

Day 16: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 6 hrs

Spending the wonderful moment we will move towards Kathmandu valley. By the way, we get many opportunities to see the natural beauty of Nepal which makes our trekking more enjoyable and memorable with the natural beauty of Nepal. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.  

Day 17: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
