Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek is the most challenging trek in the Khumbu region. On this trip, we will climb one of the fascinating trekking peaks in Nepal. This trekking route is situated in the Everest region and this route is not only famous for the high Himalaya summits but also famous for historical sites. You will able to experience the highest Himalayan on the earth and also explore the Namche Bazaar, and observe rare natural and wildlife and do some real climbing of the Himalayans. This trekking route is lead to the less touristy areas, crossing through villages and peaceful forest. During this trek, you can observe different amazing cultures, ethnicity, dresses, and traditional dance of Gurung, Magar, Sherpa, and Lama People as well as natural beauty also and the fabulous view of Mt Everest. To complete the route, the trekker should be technically enhanced and experienced trekkers. While doing trekking on this route we get an opportunity to explore the oldest monasteries and temples of these regions. The trip will be Including Everest Base Camp Trek as well and also During the time of trekking, we will see the wonderful scenery of the peaks which lying in this region like Mt Everest, Mt Amadablam, and Mt Makalu, etc.

Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek is very much interesting for all trekkers who love mountains. Walking through authentic villages to the northward delightful valley and alpine meadows opens up with diphthong Tibetan style villages. The trek starts in the subtropics and reaches the highest of over 5000 meters from the sea level.  Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek It is not so high but it is a physically demanding and adventure pass of Nepal. On these trekking trails, you can observe different amazing cultures, ethnicity, and traditions of these trail people. The snow-covered trails of this trek provide you the best opportunity to get the experience of real adventure in the Himalayas of Nepal. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m/9,337ft) 5-6 hours

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m/9,393ft) 4-5 hours

Day 05:  Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,186ft) 7-8 hours

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) 6-7 hours

Day 07: Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m/14,297ft) 3-4 hours

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft) 2-3 hours

Day 09: Rest day in Khare

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft) 6-7 hours

Day 11: Summit Mera then trek to Kongma Dingma (4,850m/15912ft) 10-11 hours

Day 12:  Rest day in Kongma Dingma

Day 13: Kongma Dingma to Seto Pokhari (5035m/16519 ft) 5-6 hours

Day 14: Seto Pokhari to Amphu Labcha Base Camp (5,650m/18,536 ft) 5-6 hours

Day 15: Amphu Labcha Base Camp to Chhukung (4,750m/15,580 ft): 9-10 hours

Day 16: Chhukung to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft) 5-6 hours

Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) 6-7 hours

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu

Detail itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours

We will catch the local filght towards Lukla after haveing the delicious breakfast in Kathmandu valley. After reach in Lukla, we will slowly start our trekking towards Paiya after having lunch in Lukla. At the time of trekking, we will cross the chutok la pass before reaching the small settlement of Paiya where we will spend one night.

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m/9,337ft) 5-6 hours

The trail is slippery from Paiya until we cross the Kari la pass. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the rhododendron and Bamboo forest on a narrow mountain tails and keep walking until we don’t reach Panggom where we will spend one night. 

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m/9,393ft) 4-5 hours

After breakfast we start our trek towards Ningsow. We will pass through the beautiful waterfall, and keep walking until we don’t reach Ningsow. The valley is very much popular for bird-watching and we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 05:  Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,186ft) 7-8 hours

Today we enter the Makalu Barun National Park before reaching national park we wil cross Ramailo Danda We will pass through many beautiful places of this route and we will have our Lunch in the route. We will pass through the Lush forest of Rhododendron and Oak forest and we will reach Chhatra Khola and we will spend one night in Chhatra Khola.

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) 6-7 hours

We trek towards the main trail to Mera peak then after walking on a trail next to the Majang Khola. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and we will continue our trekking and cross the bridge over the Sanu Khola before reaching Kothe where we will spend one night in this village.    

Day 07: Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m/14,297ft) 3-4 hours

Today we hike along the ridge of Hinku Khola in the Shedow of Mera Peak. We will pass through many beautiful places of this route and we will have our Lunch in the route. We will pass through the Lush forest of Rhododendron and Oak forest and we will reach Thaknak and we will spend one night in Thaknak.

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft) 2-3 hours

After leaving Thaknak, we move towards Khare after having breakfast in the morning. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Khare and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.

Day 09: Rest day in Khare

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Khare. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft) 6-7 hours

The trail walk throug the boulder-strewn on a steep trails to reach Mera peak. At the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of Himalayan which includes Mt Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and we will spend one night in Mera High Camp.   

Day 11: Summit Mera then trek to Kongma Dingma (4,850m/15912ft) 10-11 hours

After having breakfast early in the morning we will slowly start our trekking to climbing to Mera peak after spending the wonderful night in Mera High Camp. After crossing the Mera peak we will slowly start our trekking towards Kongma Dingma and we will have our lunch on the way. After having the lunch we will continue our trekking towards Kongma Dingma where we will spend overnight.  

Day 12:  Rest day in Kongma Dingma

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Kongma Dingma. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 13: Kongma Dingma to Seto Pokhari (5035m/16519 ft) 5-6 hours

We wake up around 6 hours in the morning for breakfast then we moves towards Seto Pokhari. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Seto Pokhari and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.

Day 14: Seto Pokhari to Amphu Labcha Base Camp (South) (5,650m/18,536 ft) 5-6 hours

Today we move towards one of the remotest part of the Himalayan. We will pass through the beautiful waterfall, and keep walking until we don’t reach Amphu Labcha base camp. The valley is very much popular for bird-watching and we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 15: Amphu Labcha Base Camp to Chhukung (4,750m/15,580 ft): 9-10 hours

During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful places, the lush forest of rhododendron, pine, and oak. On the way, we will have our lunch then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Chhukung village and keep walking until we don’t reach Chhukung village. After reach in Chhukung village, we will explore all around this beautiful village and spend one night in this village. 

Day 16: Chhukung to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft) 5-6 hours

We start our trekking towards Namche Bazaar after having breakfast. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Namche Bazaar and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) 6-7 hours

It is downhill trek on a trail alongside to Dudh Koshi River to reach Lukla from Namche Bazaar. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Lukla and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 18: Fly back to Kathmandu

After having breakfast we fly towards Kathmandu valley. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.     

Day 19: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
