Ganesh Himal Trek lies in the central eastern region of Nepal. Many interesting ethnic groups a mixed lifestyle offers you a glimpse into real Nepali life. This sub-range gets its name from the Hindu Lord Ganesh, the elephant-headed god. This region offers fabulous views, untouched nature, and splendor, wild and friendly inhabitants. This region offers an adventurous into a remote, untouched land, affording breathtaking views and a chance to get to know the local people living a time-honored lifestyle. Trekking in this route offers beautiful Himalayans views Ganesh Himal region. This region offers untouched natural splendor, wild and friendly inhabitations and ranges peaks. This trip is including Rubi Valley trek as well  during time of trekking. The area is mainly populated by Tamang, Gurung, and Ghale to the north, whereas Brahmin, Chhetri, Dalit, Newar, and Chepang are to the south in the lower elevations.

Ganesh Himal Trek starts from Dhanding Beshi after 4 hours drive from Kathmandu valley. This is also known as Ruby Valley Trek. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the dense forests and meadows. During the time of trekking, we will walk through the culturally rich unspoiled ethnic villages and dense forest with wonderful flora and fauna on the backdrop of the breathtaking mountain ranges. It is the hidden gem which is located in the heart of the Himalayas. This route offers a superb opportunity to enjoy wonderful mountain views discover rich flora and fauna, observe the rich Nepalese culture and traditions with Best Mountain Guide. The season between spring and autumn is the best season for trekking in this route. If you are willing to see the forest full of Rhododendron which is the national flower of Nepal then you may join in the spring season because this season is flower blooms time. The trails take you to a remote area where the facility of the home-stay is available however there are no tea houses or lodges.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02:  Kathmandu to Betrawati

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Betrawati after spending the wonderful night in Kathmandu valley. We will pass through the Trishuli Bazaar route which is a shopping hub for local people. We will have our Lunch on the way. During the time of trekking in the way, we get many opportunities to see the natural beauty of Nepal which makes our trekking more enjoyable and memorable. We will spend one night in this beautiful village.   

Day 03:  Betrawati to Kispang

This is the first-day walking trekking. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the farmland and local villages until we reach Kispang a small village inhabited by Tamang people and we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 04:  Kispang to Thulo Chaur

Spending the wonderful time in Thulo Chaur we will move towards Thulo Chaur. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine and oak, Tamang village and local villages of this region. We have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Thulo Chaur where we spend overnight.  

Day 05:  Thulo Chaur – Gonga

At the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine and oak, Tamang village and local villages and get an opportunity to see the wild animals of this region. We have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Gonga where we spend overnight.    

Day 06:  Gonga to Rupchet

After leaving Gonga we move towards Rupchet. This day trekking, we continue through the thick forest, gaining altitude as we go, enjoying wonderful views of the great china and the Tibetan mountain range then we have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Rupchet where we spend overnight.   

Day 07:  Rupchet to Kharka

On the following day, a steep trek up to Shing la Pass. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the Shing La Pass, through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine and oak, Tamang village and local villages and get an opportunity to see the wild animals of this region. We have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Kharka where we spend overnight.    

Day 08:  Kharka to Borang

It is steeply downhill through terraced farmland and some quaint villages. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron, pine and oak, Tamang village and local villages of this region. We have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Borang where we spend overnight. 

Day 09:  Borang to Jharlang

This day trekking, we continue through the thick forest, gaining altitude as we go, enjoying wonderful views of the great china and the Tibetan mountain range then we have our lunch on the way and start our trekking until we don’t reach Jharlang village where we spend overnight.   

Day 10:  Jharlang to Darkhaphedi

In the morning time, we will slowly start our trekking towards Darkhaphedi after spending the wonderful night in Jharlang village. We will have our Lunch on the way. During the time of trekking in the way, we get many opportunities to see the natural beauty of Nepal which makes our trekking more enjoyable and memorable. We will spend one night in this beautiful village.  

Day 11:  Darkhaphedi to Dhading to Kathmandu

The End of the trip Ganesh Himal, take breakfast and continue to Drive tough road Darkhaphedi to Dhading and forward to Kathmandu take 7 to 8 hours. we will see on the way evergreen scenery and white Himalayan ranges which is Mt Manaslu eight highest peak in the world. and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off. 

Cost Details

  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up and Drop by private car/van/bus.
  • Hotel In Kathmandu: 2 Nights standard accommodation in Katmandu and include Breakfast.
  • Kathmandu to Syabrubesi and Return to Kathmandu.
  • You’re Meal in During the Trekking as Your standard meals (3 times a day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with a cup of tea or coffee).
  • All Trekking Permit (TIMS) and National Park Permit
  • Accommodation in Trekking: All accommodations in lodge/tea houses during the trek & Campsite where is not able to lodge.
  • Trekking Guide: An experienced, helpful, friendly and English speaking Trekking Guide. His well- paid salary, meals, accommodation insurance and flight ticket etc.
  • Trekking Porter: porters (1 porter for 2 peoples). Salary, Food, Drinks, Accommodation, Transportation.
  • After the Success Trip, Journey Nepal Adventure will Provide Adventure Certificate.
  • The arrangement of Emergency Helicopter service which will be paid by your Travel insurance company.
  • Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).
  • All government taxes.

  • Nepal entry visa fee (you may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Katmandu).

  • Food in the city as Katmandu. (Also arrive early from mountain than our Itinerary.
