Annapurna Circuit trek is also known as the Round Annapurna which is classic trekking route and encircles the entire Annapurna Massif. This trek offers you the perfect combinations of nature at its original best and cultural variety that would attract anthropologists in their hardest follows the path that will take you from the green pastures to leafy pine forests to arid landscape and wonderful views of the Annapurna mountain range. It is an epic circuit loved by trekker all over the world. The mountain scenery is fantastic with close-up views of some of the world tallest mountain. The trek is said to be one of the topmost trekking trails for scenery on the earth. This trek will give you an opportunity to see many different kinds of the climatic zone such as a Tilicho Lake highest lake in the world. The best part of this trek is the changing of scenery every day every hour, every movement.

Annapurna Circuit trek starts from the Kathmandu to Syange via Besi Sahar after 6 hours driving from the Kathmandu valley. The trails move along paddy fields, subtropical forest, incredible waterfalls, huge cliff and several lovely friendly villages. The season between autumn and spring is the best season for doing on this route. This is a long trek for travelers wishing to circle the Annapurna massif. The trek crosses two different stunning beauties of the great Himalayans. The trek passes through a variety of landscape ranging from rich farming valleys to the stark high altitude desert region of Mustang. Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu to Beshisahar to Jagat (1,300m/4265ft) 6 – 7 hours

Day 03: Jagat to Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft) 7-8 hours

Day 04: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft) 5 – 6 hours

Day 05: Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft) 5 – 6 hours

Day 06: Pisang to Manang 6 – 7 hours

Day 07: Manang: Acclimatization day

Day 08: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft) 3 – 4 hours

Day 09: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft) 3 – 4 hours

Day 10: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) 7 – 8 hours

Day 11: Muktinath to Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft) 4 – 5 hours

Day 12: Marpha to Ghasa (2,010m/6633ft) 6 – 7 hours

Day 13: Ghasa to Tatopani (Natural hot spring) (1,190m/3927ft) 5 -6 hours

Day 14: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,858m/9,431ft) 8 – 9 hours

Day 15:  Ghorepani to Poon Hill (sun rise view 3,200m) to Tadapani (2,630m/8,679ft) 7 -8 hours

Day 16: Tadapani to Nayapul drive to Pokhara

Day 17: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 5-6 hours

Day 18: Final departure

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative from Journey Nepal Adventure will pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel cheek in the Hotel.  After getting refresh and briefing about the trip.  Welcome dinner hosted by Journey Nepal Adventure. For dinner, you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Besishar to Jagat (1,300m/4265ft) 6 - 7 hours

Starting Annapurna Circuit Trek with a tourist standard bus drive on Nepal’s interesting highway to reach Besisahar, journey leads past many farms, villages and towns with views of mountains.

The drive finally ends on reaching Besisahar again transport to Jagat by jeep  Over night at Jagat in nice tea house/ludge.

Day 03: Jagat to Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft) 7-8 hours

Today, we will start our trekking  journey to Dharapani. We resume our journey following the ever flowing river Marsyangdi to the beautiful valley called Taal. With every step, we are getting closer to Manang district through the pine forest and the cultivated fields. We will be finally at Dharapani. Over night at Dharapan

Day 04: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft) 5 - 6 hours

This day walk leads through cool rhododendron and pine forest passing Bagachap and Danque villages to reach Timang village into more Buddhist area, with super view of Mt. Manaslu, crossing the timang village trek continue few hours Chame, a major town and headquarter of Manang district, Over night at Chame.

Day 05: Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft) 5 - 6 hours

After have a hot breakfast, onward air gets cooler leading close to mountains with beautiful forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream to Bhratang village pass through apple farm .

From here uphill into pine trees to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few lodge and views of Chulu mountain view  and Pisang peak, after a lunch genteel walk to Pisang village where have two Pisang Village (upper Pisang and lower Pisang) Over night at lower Pisang.

Day 06: Pisang to Manang 6 - 7 hours

 Manang valley offering mountains views as altitude gains from here onward.

Walking into forest with short uphill with views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu and Pisang peak, then reaching Hongde village with a small air strip, from here tree lines fades to barren, arid landscapes.

On route Manang village visit old Braga monastery with Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting, frescos and super panorama of Annapurna Himalaya,

Over night at Manang Village.

Day 07: Manang: Acclimatization day

Today is the Acclimatization day at Manang, after the hot breakfast walk down to Gangapurna lake explore the lake and upward to the view point for Gangapurna Glacier, Annpurna mountain view. Hike down to Manang village with is one of the big village in this route.

Day 08: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft) 4 - 5 hours

 Some of the fellow trekkers get attracted by the absolute beauty of Manang, continue our way towards the yak kharka from Manang. The way goes through the Thorung la pass.

Day 09: Yak Kharka to Thorong High camp (4,600m/15,092ft) 4 - 5 hours

Today  walk leads closer to Thorang-la Pass as the walk progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the  river, then leading at Thorung Phedi for lunch break  and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for overnight at High Camp.

Day 10: Thorong High Camp to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) 9 - 10 hours

After spending the night at High camp we will try to get up early in the morning and try to start at 4am to catch a sunrise from top of the Thorong-La. This is the biggest day during our trekking. The Thorong-la is the biggest pass in world. After reaching the to take photograph and head down to Muktinath.  Muktinath a holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberati. Explore the both Hindu and Buddhist tremple. Over night at Muktinath.

Day 11: Muktinath to Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft) 4 - 5 hours

We will have the breakfast and will proceed forward via Kagbeni village which is main gate of Upper Mustang(restricted area) The trail goes down to Jomsom. We can see beautiful cave hills trek continue   Marpha Village.

Day 12: Marpha to Ghasa (2,010m/6633ft) 5 - 6 hours

Trek from Marpha leads to dramatic change in vegetation climate, as walk leads between two giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Nilgiri. Apple farms trek through Kaligandaki river. Over night at Ghasa.

Day 13: Ghasa to Tatopani (1,200m/3,937ft) 6 - 7 hours

The first two hours of trek leads through Dana village with view of snow capped peaks into pine forest.

After Ghasa a southern end of Mustang area mostly dominated by Thakali people ethnic tribe till Tatopani village.

This pleasant walk continues leading back to paddy fields in warm sub-tropical climate to Tatopani passing beautiful waterfalls call Rupsi Chhahara. Passing through the world deepest gorge along the Kaligandaki river.

Tatopani ( Natural Hot Spring) village the valley is quite constricted and it is quite warm with sub-tropic climate and vegetation, Tatopani is another nice village with large hot spring pools just by the bank of the River Kaligandaki.

Day 14: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft) 7 - 8 hours 

After a wonderful time at Tatopani, trek continues on the nice winding trail for an hour, our route diverts heading uphill with steep climb to Shikha village then with gradual up all the way through dense forest to reach at Chitre and Phalate village, from here an hour climb to Ghorepani village with fantastic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South with Vara-Shikar.

Day 15: Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) 6 - 7 hours

To catch the sunrise over the Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft), the most popular trekking destination of the Annapurna region. It is an also a great viewpoint to enjoy the amazing views of Mustang, Pokhara and more than 20 of the highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The snowy peaks of the high mountains loom above and around us glowing in the morning light Annapurna Himalayan range including Dawalagiri Mountain which is one of the high mountain among them. After taking photographs and having some coffee or tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Ghorepani. After breakfast, we head east and climb a nearby ridge. We descend through rhododendron forests, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani to spend the night.

Day 16:  Tadapani to Pokhara (827m/2,789ft) 5 - 6 hours

This is the final day of our trekking.  We trek to Nayapul from Tadapani and end our trek there.  We drive back to Pokhara and explore the beauty of it.  You might be interested in climbing to Sarangkot hill which is famous for adventurous paragliding sport.  Explore Pokhara City and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 17: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 5-6 hours

After enjoying a marvelous time on high mountains and hills of Annapurna circuit trek, after breakfast in the morning departs Pokhara with overland drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 18: Final Departure

 Our adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! A Journey Nepal Adventure representative will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
