Mera Peak Climbing is one of the best peaking climbing in the Everest region of Nepal. Officially it is the highest trekking peak in the Nepal that offers unlimited mountaineering adventure. It is one of the most impressive trekking peaks and holds as the highest trekking in Nepal. While traveling in this region we get an opportunity to see the breathtaking views of the 8000 meters mountain like Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga is the addition to several other mountains peaks is definitely overwhelming. This peak climbing is an opportunity for all the adventure seekers and suitable for all fit trekkers who dear to dream of standing on a Himalayan summit. The walking trip would be through the Hinku valley, has beautiful forest and incredible mountains along the way. For this climbing, most mountains can be climbed by first-timer with good health and basic climbing skill, while some peaks which require technical climbing skills and only professional climbers should climb them. During the time of peak climbing, passes through the many beautiful villages with well-cultivated fields and small helmets, interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and giant firs. The Himalayans have always been the focus of outstanding achievements in the world of mountain climbing.

Mera Peak Climbing starts from Lukla after 30 minutes flight from Kathmandu valley. It is challenging trekking peaks in Everest region. The peak being attractive offers various existing routes and also a probability of new ones. During the time of climbing, we will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron, Oak, and pine, snow-fed river, and fabulous glacier, and pass through the Sherpa village and old monasteries of this region. The climber will require a moderate level of fitness but will prove to be a very rewarding adventure. In this climbing, you will offer the finest experience of culture, nature, and adventure. The season between March to April and October to November is the best season to peak climbing in Nepal.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hrs

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m/9,337ft) 5-6 hrs

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m/9,393ft) 4-5 hrs

Day 05: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,186ft) 7-8 hrs

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 07:  Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m/14,297ft) 3-4 hrs

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft) 2-3 hrs

Day 09: Rest at Khare

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 11:  Summit to Mera High Camp and back to Khare (5045m/16,547ft) 8-9 hrs

Day 12: Khare to Kothe (3600m/11808ft): 4-5 hours

Day 13: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m/14,107ft): 5-6 hours

Day 14: Thuli Kharla to Lukla 6-7 hours

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Paiya (2,730m) 5-6 hours

Early in the morning, we will drive towards the local airport to fly towards Lukla after spending the wonderful night in Kathmandu valley. After reach in Lukla, we will slowly start our trekking towards Paiya after having lunch in Lukla. At the time of trekking, we will cross the Chutok la pass before reaching the small settlement of Paiya where we will spend one night.

Day 03: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m/9,337ft) 5-6 hrs

We will slowly start our trekking towards Panggom after having breakfast in the hotel. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the rhododendron and Bamboo forest on a narrow mountain tails and keep walking until we don’t reach Panggom where we will spend one night. 

Day 04: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m/9,393ft) 4-5 hrs

We begin our trek after having breakfast. We will pass through the beautiful waterfall, and keep walking until we don’t reach Ningsow. The valley is very much popular for bird-watching and we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 05: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,186ft) 7-8 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly start our trekking towards Chhatra Khola after spending the wonderful night in Ningsow valley. We will pass through many beautiful places of this route and we will have our Lunch in the route. We will pass through the Lush forest of Rhododendron and Oak forest and we will reach Chhatra Khola and we will spend one night in Chhatra Khola.

Day 06: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) 6-7 hrs

From Chhatra Khola, we will move towards Kothe. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of rhododendron and we will continue our trekking and cross the bridge over the Sanu Khola before reaching Kothe where we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 07:  Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m/14,297ft) 3-4 hrs

We walk towards the north on the main trail to Mera Peak.  We will pass through many beautiful places of this route and we will have our Lunch in the route. We will pass through the Lush forest of Rhododendron and Oak forest and we will reach Thaknak and we will spend one night in Thaknak.

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft) 2-3 hrs

The trek along the ridge of the Hinku Khola in the Shadow. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Khare and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.

Day 09: Rest at Khare

We don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Khare. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft) 6-7 hrs

We walk through a steep trail to Mera Peak. At the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of Himalayan which includes Mt Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and we will spend one night in Mera High Camp.  

Day 11:  Summit to Mera High Camp and back to Khare (5045m/16,547ft) 8-9 hrs

Today we will wake up early in the morning around 2 o'clock to summit the Mera peak. After summiting the Mera High Camp we will explore all around the Mera High Camp then after we will come back to Khare where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.   

Day 12: Khare to Kothe (3600m/11808ft) 4-5 hours

We trek from Khare to Kothe along the same trail. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Kothe and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.   

Day 13: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m/14,107ft) 5-6 hours

We leave Kothe for Thuli Kharka.  We will pass through many beautiful places of this route and we will have our Lunch in the route. We will pass through the Lush forest of Rhododendron and Oak forest and we will reach Thuli Kharka and we will spend one night in Thuli Kharka.   

Day 14: Thuli Kharla to Lukla 6-7 hours

Crossing the Zatrwa la pass before reaching Lukla. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Lukla and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu

Spending the wonderful moment in Lukla we will fly towards Kathmandu valley. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.     

Day 16: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
