Langtang Goshaikunda passes Trek is the nearest trekking route from the Kathmandu valley, with the high mountain lake in Goshaikunda. This trek will give your legs a chance to warm up at the easier elevations and on the more moderate trails of Langtang. This route is a beautiful journey in Nepal through lush forests, quaint villages, abundant wildlife and astounding views of the majestic Himalayas. We will pass through the delighting landscape, evergreen forest, and beautiful waterfall etc. Trekking in this valley takes you across less crowded hiking trails across this beautiful land not very far from the Kathmandu valley. In this route, you will have quite comfortable and safe accommodations to stay during their travel period in this region. It is the perfect combination of natural, cultural, geographical, and biological beauties which gives an opportunity to get right in among the Himalayan peaks and to get off-the-beaten-track, walking through some fascinating remote and relatively unpopulated areas. A visit to this region offers the opportunity to explore typical villages, big small peaks and visit glacier at a comfortable low elevation. There is no flight service like another trekking region.This trip also include Tamang Heritage Trek. The diverse animated birds are more easily seen as they often congregate in large raucous foraging parties.

Langtang Goshaikunda passes Trek starts from Syabrubesi after 8 hours drive from Kathmandu valley and another popular trekking route of Nepal which lies in the north part of Kathmandu valley. While we traveling in this route, we will pass from Langtang National Park which is the home to score of endangered species including Himalayan Tahr, Red Panda and snow leopard and 100 species of plants and many wild animals and birds including snow leopard, rare Himalayan wildlife black bear, and 250 species of birds found in this region. Spring and autumn is the best season for trekking in this route with Expert Mountain Guide.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft) 7-8 hrs

Day 03: Syabrubesi trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft) 6 hrs

Day 04:  Lama Hotel trek to Langtang village 6-7 hrs

Day 05: Langtang trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m) 4-5 hrs

Day 06: Rest day in Kyangjin Gompa

Day 07: Kyangjin Gompa trek to Lama Hotel 6-7 hrs

Day 08: Lama Hotel trek to Thulo Syabru (2,230m/ 7,316 ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 09: Thulo Syabru trek to Shin Gompa (Chandanbari) 6-7 hrs

Day 10: Shin Gompa trek to Gosaikunda (4,460m/14,632ft) 7-8 hrs

Day 11: Gosaikunda trek to Ghopte (3,530m/11,649ft) 6-8 hrs

Day 12: Ghopte trek to Kutumsang (2,470/8151ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 13: Kutumsang trek to Chisapani (2,215m/7,309ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 14: Chisapani trek to Sundarijal drive to Kathmandu 5-6 hrs

Day 15: Final departure.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative of Journey Nepal Adventure will pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel cheek in the Hotel.  After getting refresh and briefing about the trip.  Welcome dinner hosted by Journey Nepal Adventure. For dinner, you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Kathmandu drive  to Syabrubesi (1,503m/4,959ft) 7-8 hrs

Starting Langtang Valley trekking with drive on Nepal’s mountain highway to reach Langtang area at Syabrubesi, the journey leads past many farm villages and towns with views of  mountains. On reaching Dhunche(District Headquarter)  at 1,960m, a major town of Langtang area and Rasuwa district and an entrance of Langtang National Park. From here drive continues downhill for few hours to Syabrubesi village for overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day 03: Syabrubesi  trek to Lama Hotel (2,480m/8,184ft) 6 hrs

From Syabrubesi, we begin our trek following the Langtang River. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many suspension bridge, the lush forest of Rhododendron and we will spend one night in the Lama Hotel.   

Day 04: Lama Hotel Trek to langtang Village (3543m/11,621ft) 6-7 hrs

On the following day, you will be trekking for 6 hours to reach Langtang Village. The view of Langtang Lirung, Lanagtang Himal, is clearly visible during the trek to Langtang Village. You also come across several stone houses, pine trees and Rhododendron trees. trek uphill to Langtang Village. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05:  Langtang Village trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft) 3-4 hrs

Langtang village mostly inhabited by Tamang and Bhotias tribe, morning walk leads on gradual path for a short while, then winds up for few hours coming across “mani-prayer wall”, walk leads further east where the gorge opens up into a wide scenic valley with views of peaks at close distance.

After a good walk reaching at Kyanjin Gompa, a beautiful place with panorama of mountains and close views of Langtang Lirung and icefall, here in a nice lodge with afternoon free for short walk visit the cheese factory established some 25 years ago by Swiss Technical Assistance and local support. Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Acclimatization day in Kyangjin Gompa

Today we will hike to Tserko Ri early in the morning, remains at an altitude of 4990 meters, the topmost place to view the whole Langtang Valley. Tserko Ri provides the 360-degree view of the Langtang valley and Himalayas. The major mountains are Langtang Himal, Kamja la Himal, Langtang Lirung (7234m), Kimoyoshung (6780m), Dragpoche (6582m), Shalbachum (6707m), Pemthang Karpo RI (6830m), Langshisa Ri (6413m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). We will  back to Kyangin Gompa , Over night at Kyangjin. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel 6-7 hrs

After a great time at Kyanjin Gompa, return back on the same trail to Lama-Hotel.

Day 08: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m/ 7,316 ft) 5-6 hrs

We leave Lama Hotel for Thulo Syabru. In the route, we get many opportunities to see the wonderful views of the mountain of this region. After reach in Thulo Syabru, we will explore the entire valley and come back to the hotel and have our dinner and spend one night in this valley. Overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa  (2,230m/ 7,316 ft) 6-7 hrs

Spending the wonderful time in Thulo Syabru we will move towards Shin Gompa. Morning leads to a climb into lovely forest of rhododendron, oaks and pine trees with views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal and as far towards Manaslu and Annapurna Himalaya, a steep climb but scenic walk into beautiful forest where more than many different species of rhododendron found around, passing summer pasture and then on the pleasant winding trail to Singh Gomba village with a famous cheese factory and an old monastery on top of the village. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,460m/14,632ft) 5-6 hrs

The journey leads to Gosainkunda passing through pine and rhododendron forest. The Gosaikunda area has been delineated as a religious site. attributes Gosaikunda as the abode of the Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri. The Hindu scriptures  and the epics Ranayan and Mahabharat refer to Samundra Manthan, which is directly related to the origin of Gosaikunda. Its waters are considered holy and of particular significance during the Gangadashahara and the Janai Purnima festivals when thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and India visit the area. Gosaikunda is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva when he thrust his Trishul (holy Trident) into a mountain to extract water so that he could cool his stinging throat after he had swallowed poison.In Raksha Bandhan Hindu People from all over the South Asia came to celebrate the fair(Mela). Over night at lodge.

Day 11: Gosaikunda (Lauribina Pass 4,609m) to Ghopte (3,440m/11,286ft) 7-8 hrs

After a pleasant stop at Gosainkund, start early in the morning to climb over Laurabina pass at 4,609 m / 15,121 ft, highest point of this adventure. From the pass downhill all the way to Phedi stop Phedi for Lunch and trek continue to Ghopte. Ove night at lodge.

Ghopte to Kutumsang (2,470/8151ft) 6-7 hrs

From Gopte, most of the trail uphill to Thadepati. Thadepati is the join trail of Helambu and Langtang trekking route.. Enjoy the magnificent view of Langtang Himalayan Range and Ganesh Himal Range.

Trek continue pass through pine and Rhododendron forest to Kutumsang. Overnight at Lodge.

 Day 13: Kutumsang trek to Chisapani (2,215m/7,309ft) 6-7 hrs

After breakfast trek continue to Chisapani the trail go up and down. Getting closer to Kathmandu valley overnight stop in Chisapani.

Day 14: Chisapani trek to Sundarijal drive to Kathmandu.

After spending a marvelous time on high mountains and hills of Langtang Gosainkunda trekking. after breakfast in the morning Climb little hill for while and all the down to the sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: Final departure.

Our adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! A Journey Nepal Adventure representative will escort us to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
