Island Peak Climbing is one of the challenging adventure packages in the Himalayan country which is a fascinating dream for many mountain climbers. Mountaineering and climbing are one of the major attractions and adventure activities in Nepal. It is an excellent way to venture into altitude above 6000 meters from the sea level without great technical difficulty. This peak is a beautiful mountain peak in the Everest region of the Himalayan. This trip will be including Everest Base Camp trek as well.  For this climbing, most mountains can be climbed by first-timer with good health and basic climbing skill, while some peaks which require technical climbing skills and only professional climbers should climb them. The Himalaya’s have always been the focus of outstanding achievements in the world of mountain climbing. This is the most popular as it is suitable for all novice climber and experienced trekkers. While this peak is used by many to gear up for higher and more precipitous peaks to come after.

Island Peak Climbing is an admired peak expedition experience in the Everest region of Nepal. This peak is located between the Mt Lhotse and Imja Tse. This is not a highly technical climbing peak; one does not necessarily have to be a seasoned climber. This route offers to see the magnificent views from the summit are certainly a fitting reward for your efforts. Our trail passes through the many beautiful villages with well-cultivated fields and small helmets, interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and giant firs. This mountaineering is usually both technically and physically very challenging activity that’s why we need special skill to mountaineering. The season between March to May and September to December is the best season for trekking in this route. The climber will require a moderate level of fitness but will prove to be a very rewarding adventure. In this climbing, you will offer the finest experience of culture, nature, and adventure with a expert Mountain Guide.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3-4 hrs

Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5-6 hrs

Day 04:  Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m) 5- 6 hrs

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) 5 to 6 hrs

Day 07: Dingboche to Chhukung (4,730m) 3-4 hrs

Day 08: Acclimatization in Climb Chhukung Ri (5,546m) 3 – 4 hrs

Day 09:  Island Peak Base camp (5,200m) 3-4 hrs

Day 10: Preparing for climbing to Island Peak Base Camp

Day 11: Island Peak Base Camp to Island Peak Summit, back to base camp 10-12 hrs

Day 12: Trek to Pangboche (3,985m) 5-6 hrs

Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazaar 4-5 hrs

Day 14: Namche Bazaar to Lukla 6-7 hrs

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner. 

Day 02: Fly to Lukla then trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3-4 hrs

Early in the morning, we will drive towards the local airport to fly towards Lukla after spending the wonderful night in Kathmandu valley. After reach in Lukla, we will slowly start our trekking towards Phakding after having lunch in Lukla. At the time of trekking, we will cross the Chutok la pass before reaching the small settlement of Phakding where we will spend one night.  

Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5-6 hrs

The trek for the day today that starts after breakfast at the teahouse goes mostly uphill to Namche Bazaar. During the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to explore the Sherpa village, their culture, and traditions. We will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Namche Bazaar and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 04:  Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Namche Bazaar. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m) 5- 6 hrs

It is an easy walk from Namche Bazaar to Phunki. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Tyangboche and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) 5 to 6 hrs

We visit the monastery in the morning and take pictures of the amazing landscape. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Sagarmatha National Park and we get the opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mountain of this region and keep walking until we don’t reach in Dingboche where we will spend one night. 

Day 07: Dingboche to Chhukung (4,730m) 3-4 hrs

At the time f trekking, we will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mt Everest, Lhotse, and we will cross Khumbu Glacier and we can see also see Mt Nuptse we will spend one night in Chhukung.   

Day 08: Acclimatization in Chhukung Ri

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Chhukung Ri. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 09:  Island Peak Base camp (5,200m) 3-4 hrs

The trek to Island Peak Base Camp is on a fairly steep trail. During the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to explore the Sherpa village, their culture, and traditions. We will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Island Peak base camp and we will spend one night in this beautiful village.    

Day 10: Preparing for climbing to Island Peak Base Camp

Today we don’t our trekking because this day is for rest. In the daytime, we will explore all around the Island peak base camp. In this day we will prepare for climbing to Island peak base camp and we will spend one night in this Peak Base camp.    

Day 11: Island Peak Base Camp to Island Peak Summit, back to base camp 10-12 hrs

We reach the summit before noon because in the afternoon the strong wind in the highlands might become a barrier for a successful summit. After summiting Island peak we will back to Base Camp where we will spend one night. 

Day 12: Trek to Pangboche (3,985m) 5-6 hrs

During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages, the lush forest of rhododendron and wonderful mountain views. We will have our lunch on the way then after we slowly start our trekking towards Pangboche where we will spend one night. 

Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazaar 4-5 hrs

The trail becomes more level and natural. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Namche Bazaar and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 14: Namche Bazaar to Lukla 6-7 hrs

We leave Namche Bazaar for Lukla after having breakfast. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Lukla and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu

We catch the local airport of Lukla to fly towards Kathmandu valley which takes almost 30 minutes. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.     

Day 16: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
