Helambu Circuit trek is the perfect trekking route for those trekkers who are short trekking in Nepal. It is also one of the nearest trekking routes from Kathmandu valley. The trekking to this region is the golden opportunity to enjoy the beauty of mountains peaks, beautiful flora and fauna, rhododendron forest, local culture and many more. This route landscape is classic Himalayan foothills, with plenty of dramatic rises and plummeting descents. Trekking in this valley takes you across less crowded hiking trails across this beautiful land not very far from the Kathmandu valley. In this route, you will have quite comfortable and safe accommodations to stay during their travel period in this region. This trip including Shivapuri Nagarkot trekking. The valleys offer the variety of rhododendron, bamboo forest, majestic waterfalls, and pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock, and snow-capped peaks. It would be fascinating to watch the farmer toil in the field stills using their hand-made tools things and water buffaloes. This region trek has all the features and attractions that any world-class trekking trail commands. Trekking through its forests and among the villages and farmland of its people, many of who are of Tibetan origin.

Helambu Circuit trek starts from Sundrijal which takes only 3 hours from the Kathmandu valley. This region is well known for its apples and plentiful Buddhist monasteries. In this route, we can mainly see the Tamang and Sherpa community people. This trekking route is interesting trekking route for that trekker who doesn’t have enough time in Nepal. This trek offers a wonderful combination of landscape rare wildlife and varied floral diversities. This trek is can be done any time of the years. While you enjoy the natural wonder you can immerse in the amazing cultural atmosphere of the valley, flora, and fauna during your trekking adventure. In this route, we get many Buddhist people on this route. Most of the people from this region are depending on farming and some are in tourism like the runner of lodges lead by experience mountain guide .

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02:  Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2300m/7544 ft) 4 hours

Day 03:  Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m/8022ft) 7 hours

Day 04: Kutumsang to Thadepati (3650m/11972ft) 6 hours

Day 05:  Tarkeghyang (2560m/8397ft) 6 hours

Day 06:  Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft) 3/4 hrs

Day 07:  Malemchi Pul Bazaar then drive to Kathmandu

Day 08: Final departure

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.     

Day 02:  Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2300m/7544 ft) 4 hours

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Sundarijal after spending the wonderful night in Kathmandu valley. After reach in Sundarijal, we will have our lunch then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Chisapani where we will spend one night.

Day 03:  Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m/8022ft) 7 hours

The trail steadily climbs through the prickly-leaved oak forest with excellent views of the mountain. During the time of trekking, we will enjoy the mountain landscape with beautiful waterfall. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Kutumsang where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 04: Kutumsang to Thadepati (3650m/11972ft) 6 hours

The trek continues to Yurin Danda with magnificent views of the Himalayas. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Thadepati and we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 05:  Tarkeghyang (2560m/8397ft) 6 hours

In the morning time, we will slowly start our trekking towards Tarkeghyang after spending the wonderful night in Thadepati. In the route, we get many opportunities to see the wonderful views of the mountain of this region. After reach in Tarkeghyang, we will explore the entire valley and come back to the hotel and have our dinner and spend one night in this valley. 

Day 06:  Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft) 3/4 hrs

It is going to be comparatively easy walk today. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Langtang national park where we get an opportunity to see the 3000 species of wild flowering plants, 440 species of birds and 75 species of the wild animals and we will spend one night in Sermathang.   

Day 07:  Malemchi Pul Bazaar then drive to Kathmandu

This is last day of our trekking and we walk down to Malemchi Pul Bazaar. After reach in Melamchi Bazaar we will have our lunch and after lunch, we will take some rest and start our trekking towards Kathmandu valley where our trekking ends. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.      

Day 08: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.

  • Hotel In Kathmandu: 2 Nights standard accommodation in Katmandu include breakfast.
  • Kathmandu to Sundarijal by Private Car or Jeep and Malachi pul to Kathmandu by Private Car or Jeep.
  • You’re Meal in During the Trekking as Your standard meals (3 times a day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with a cup of tea or Coffee).
  • All Trekking Permit (Langtang National Permit) and Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) Permit.
