Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking trails is a beautiful and popular trekking and hiking trails among in the most famous trekking routes of Nepal. It is the classic Everest adventure that includes the walk to Everest Base Camp to Jiri. Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking starts from the Jiri after 8 hours drive from the Kathmandu valley. The major attractions of this route are the Mt Everest and the warm and friendly hospitality of the Sherpa people in this region. It is really challenging trekking routes in the Khumbu region of Nepal which are also known as the unique gem of the Everest region. We follow the ancient route that will take you through tiny villages, across high mountains passes, and through the remote valleys, villages, and monasteries. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron, Oak, and pine, snow-fed river, and fabulous glacier, and pass through the Sherpa village and old monasteries of this region. The season between March to May and September to November is the best season for trekking in this route with Expert Mountain Guide.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Salleri (2,390m/7,841ft) 8-9 hrs

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Salleri after spending the wonderful night in Kathmandu valley. We will pass through the beautiful riversides, jungles, and villages and we get the views of Numpur Himal and Everest and we will continue our drive higher up and reach Salleri where we will spend our night.

Day 03: Salleri to Nunthala (2,220m/7,280 ft) 6 -7 hrs

We begin our trek after breakfast and pass Ringmo village. At the time of trekking, we will pass through some great ruins before reaching Nunthala where we will spend one night.

Day 04: Nunthala to Bupsa (2,360m/7,740 ft) 5-6 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly start our trekking towards Bupsa after spending the wonderful night in Nunthala village. At the time of trekking, the trail goes through Khari Khola village and the scenery starts to get more picturesque and keep walking utile we don’t reach in Bupse where we will spend one night in this beautiful place. 

Day 05: Bupsa to Chaurikharka (2,650m/8,694ft)

The trail passes through Khari Khola village and the scenery start to get more picturesque. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Sagarmatha National Park and we get the opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mountain of this region and keep walking until we don’t reach in Chaurikharka where we will spend one night.

Day 06: Chaurikharka to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft) 4 - 5 hrs

We will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron, pine, and oak. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Sagarmatha National Park and we get the opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mountain of this region and keep walking until we don’t reach in Chaurikharka where we will spend one night.    

Day 07: Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft) 3 - 4 hrs

We walk little further from Manjo and enter the Sagarmatha National Park. During the time of trekking, we get an opportunity to explore the Sherpa village, their culture, and traditions. We will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Namche Bazaar and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 08: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Namche Bazaar. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 09: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft) 5 - 6 hrs

It is an easy walk from Namche Bazaar to Phunki. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Tyangboche and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.

Day 10: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft) 5 - 6 hrs

We visit the monastery in the morning and take pictures of the amazing landscape. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Sagarmatha National Park and we get the opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mountain of this region and keep walking until we don’t reach in Dingboche where we will spend one night. 

Day 11:  Acclimatization at Dingboche

Today we don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Dingboche. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 12: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft) 5-6 hrs

The trail continues through the Yak grazing pasture to Dhukla crossing the wooden bridge on a roaring stream. At the time of trekking, we will get an opportunity to see the wonderful views of Mt Everest, Lhotse, and we will cross Khumbu Glacier and we can see also see Mt Nuptse we will spend one night in Lobuche. 

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep, visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft) 6-7 hrs

There is always the potential for the chilly wind which is quite common. After reach in Ghorak Shep then we will have our lunch and take some rest then after we will slowly move towards Everest Base Camp and we will visit all around the Everest base camp and come back towards the Gorak Shep and spend overnight in this beautiful place.

Day 14: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070ft) 7-8 hrs

The trail climbs up to Kala Patthar early in the morning to see the first-day sunlight from top of the world, Mt Everest. After reach in Kala Patthar, we will explore all around the Kala Patthar, and slowly start our trekking towards Pheriche where we will spend one night in Pheriche.

Day 15: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft) 6 - 7 hrs

We leave Pheriche for Namche Bazaar after having breakfast in the morning. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Namche Bazaar and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft) 6 - 7 hrs

Spending the wonderful moments we will move towards Lukla. We will pass through the small villages and a few temples on the way and we will have our lunch on the way and keep walking until we don’t reach in Lukla and we will spend one night in these beautiful villages.     

Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu

We catch the local fly from Lukla towards Kathmandu valley. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.     

Day 18: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
