Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek is also known as the hidden land of monasteries and hamlets with totally Tibetan people. This route is reached on Buddhist culture whereas our trekking begins from the lower sides of Arughat. The trails are recently opened trails that have gained the attraction of many travel lovers, however, the travelers in the regions are very less owing to its difficult terrain. The valley is a blessed with Himalayan Buddhist pilgrimages sites located in the northern part of the Gorkha district. The scenery of this trekking route is stunning with beautiful forest and countryside overshadowed by the towering Ganesh Himal. It is a strenuous trek that will test the physical fitness of every adventurer. The geography of this region comprises from the outsides world which is a highly preserved area in terms of ancient culture, traditions, and lifestyle. This valley trekking trail crosses many ridges and valleys as it rises to Philim. The route is forested and gradually presents the view f Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, and Manaslu with the glacier that flows from their flanks.

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek starts from Arughat after 7 hours scenic drive from the Kathmandu valley. The valley people have their own way of family life, which may be quite surprising for many outsiders. Trekking in this valley has its distinct and natural treasures of clear streams, teeming vegetations, mountains, cascading waterfalls, along with the natural hot spring and ancient residue of natural scene and prettiness. The dense forest in this region can be a home to many rare and endangered animals and the region is completely banned for hunting, fishing, and animal slaughtering. While you traveling in this route in the spring season you get an opportunity to see our national flower everywhere in the forest of this route, the season between March to May and September to November is considered as the best season for trekking in this route.

Day 21: Rest day at Bimthang

Day 20:  Bimthang  Larka La Pass 5150m. to Dharapani (1860m/6,100ft) 6-7 hrs

Day 21: Dharapani – Ghermu (1100m/3608ft) 7 hrs

Day 22: Trek to Besisahar (800m/2625 ft) 4 hrs

Day 23:  Besisahar to Kathmandu 7/8 hrs

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.      

Day 02: Drive to Barpak (2000m/6560ft)

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Barpak after spending the wonderful night in the Kathmandu valley. At the first day of this trekking, we will be taken by the local jeep to the Barpak village which is situated on the hilltop. During the time of this trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful places of Nepal. After reach in Barpak, first of all, we will check out the hotel and explore the entire Barpak village and spend one night in this village. 

Day 03: Barpark to Laprak (2200m/7216ft) 6-7 hrs

During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages, the Lush forest of Rhododendron, pine and the wonderful views of Buddhi, Shringi, Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Lapark where we will spend one night in this village.  

Day 04: Laprak to Khorlabeshi (875m/2870ft) 7-8 hrs

We pass from Larpak and cross a suspension bridge. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages, Lush forest of Rhododendron, pine and the wonderful views of Buddhi, Shringi, Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range and we will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly continuous our trekking towards Khorlabeshi where we spend one night in Khorlabeshi.  

Day 05: Khorlabeshi to Jagat (1410m/ 4625 ft) 6 hrs

While traveling in this route, we will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron, pine and oak forest. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Jagat and after reach, in Jagat, we will spend one night in this beautiful village.

Day 06: Jagat to Philim (1,590m/ 5215 ft) 3hrs

At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages. We also visit one of the most beautiful Gurung villages and we will pass through the lush forest of Rhododendron and Pine forest and we will spend one night in this village.

Day 07: Philim to Chumling (2363m/7775 ft) 6/7 hrs

After breakfast, we will slowly start our trekking towards Chumling after spending the wonderful night in Philim. During the time of trekking, we will slowly start our trekking through the pine and rhododendron forest, and enjoy the views of Himalchuli Mountains. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards and after reach Chumling, in Chumling, we will spend one night in this beautiful village.  

Day 08: Chumling to Chokhangparo (3010m/9903ft) 5/6 hrs

Cross the suspension bridge onto the opposite bank. At the time of trekking, we enjoy the great views of Ganesh Himal. And we will enter the hidden valley Tsum village and we will have our lunch on the way then after we will trek towards Chokhangparo where we will spend one night in this village.

Day 09: Chokhangparo to Nile (3361m/11058ft) 6/7 hrs

We cross the Shiar Khola. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the Milarepa Cave, through the pine and rhododendron forest, and enjoy the views of Himalchuli Mountains. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards and after reach the Nile we will explore all around this valley and spend one night in this village.   

Day 10: Nile to Bhajyo (4030m/13218ft) 4 hrs

From Nile, we will move towards Bhajyo. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful places of this region and we will have our lunch on the way then after taking some rest and continue our trekking towards the Bhajyo village and we will spend one night in this beautiful village.     

Day 11: Rest at Bhajyo

We don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Bhajyo village. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.  

Day 12: Trek to Rachen Gompa: (3240m/10627ft) 6 hrs

We leave Bhajyo for Rachen Gompa after having breakfast in the hotel. During the time of trekking, we will slowly start our trekking through the pine and rhododendron forest, and enjoy the views of Himalchuli Mountains. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards and after reach Rachen Gompa, in Rachen Gompa, we will spend one night in this beautiful village.    

Day 13: Trek to Chumje (3230m/10,595ft) 5/6 hrs

We will continue south until a bridge crosses to the west bank then descend and again to Chhokangparo. We will pass through the many beautiful places of this region and get an opportunity to view beautiful views of the mountain of this region. We will have our lunch on the way then after will continue our trekking towards Chumje where we spend overnight. 

Day 14: Chumje for Bihi (3130m/10,266ft) 4/5 hrs

We will cross the large suspension bridge in the main valley of the Manaslu Bhudi Gandaki River and continues our trekking towards Bihi through the Bhudi Gandaki river and after reach in Bihi we will explore this village and we will spend one night in this village.     

Day 15: Bihi to Namrung (2540m/8331ft) 6 hrs

The trails also pass through the forests and mani where we turn towards a corner that contours to Ghap. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful places of this region and we will have our lunch on the way then after taking some rest and continue our trekking towards Namrung and we will spend one night in this beautiful village.   

Day 16:  Namrung to Lho (3180m/10,430 ft) 4 hrs

Spending the wonderful time in Namrung we will move towards Lho. During the time of trekking we will pass through the beautiful places, lush forest of Rhododendron, Pine and Oak forest and have lunch on the way after lunch we will keep walking until we don’t reach our destination and we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 17:  Lho to Samagaon (3530m/11,578 ft) 5/6 hrs

We enter the Buddhism influenced region. During the time of trekking we will pass through the beautiful places, lush forest of Rhododendron, Pine and Oak forest and have lunch on the way after lunch we will keep walking until we don’t reach our destination and we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 18:  Sama to Samdo (3860m/12,660 ft) 4/5 hrs

The trail to the left leads to the Manaslu Base Camp. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many suspension bridges, the forest of birch, juniper, and cross the Bhudi Gandaki on a wooden bridge and we have finally passed through Kani and we will find Samdo and we will spend one night in this beautiful village.   

Day 19: Samdo - High Camp (4460m/14,628ft) 5 hrs

In the morning time, we will slowly start our trekking towards High camp after spending the wonderful night in the Samdo. You can enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Fishtail and we will keep walking until we don’t reach in High camp and we will spend one night in this village. 

Day 20: High Camp – Bimthang (3,590m/11811ft) 7/ 8 hrs

The trail is surrounded by the birch tree. While trekking in the route we will pass through the Larkya la and have our lunch after lunch we will take some rest and slowly continuous our trekking towards Bimthang where we will spend one night in this beautiful village.    

Day 21: Rest day at Bimthang

We don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Bimthang village. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.  

Day 22:  Bimthang to Dharapani (1860m/6,100ft) 6-7 hrs

Leaving Bimthang for Dharapani. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Dharapani after reach in this beautiful village we rest for some time then explore the surrounding area and we will spend overnight in this village.   

Day 23: Dharapani - Ghermu (1100m/3608ft) 7 hrs

The trail continues on to Chyamje. During the time of trekking we will pass through the beautiful places, lush forest of Rhododendron, Pine and Oak forest and have lunch on the way after lunch we will keep walking until we don’t reach our destination and we will spend one night in this village.    

Day 24: Trek to Besisahar (800m/2625 ft) 4 hrs

We walk on a flat part alongside the left bank of Marsyandi. You can enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Fishtail and we will keep walking until we don’t reach in Ghermu village and we will spend one night in this village.   

Day 25:  Besisahar to Kathmandu 7/8 hrs

Today we will move towards Kathmandu Valley after having breakfast in Besisahar. By the way, we get many opportunities to see the natural beauty of Nepal which makes our trekking more enjoyable and memorable with the natural beauty of Nepal. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley. 

Day 26: Final departure

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.

  • Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up and Drop by private car/van/bus.
  • Hotel In Kathmandu: 2 Nights standard accommodation in Katmandu and include Breakfast.
  • Kathmandu to Arughat by Jeep and Sangee to Kathmandu by Express bus or Jeep.
  • You’re Meal in During the Trekking as Your standard meals (3 times a day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with a cup of tea or coffee).
  • All Trekking Permit (MCA), (ACAP), Manaslu Special Permit.
  • Accommodation in Trekking: All accommodations in lodge/tea houses during the trek & Campsite where is not able to lodge.
  • Trekking Guide: An experienced, helpful, friendly and English speaking Trekking Guide. His well- paid salary, meals, accommodation insurance and flight ticket etc.
  • Trekking Porter: porters (1 porter for 2 peoples). Salary, Food, Drinks, Accommodation, Transportation.
  • After the Success Trip, Journey Nepal Adventure will Provide Adventure Certificate.
  • The arrangement of Emergency Helicopter service which will be paid by your Travel insurance company.
