Ganja La Pass Trek offers the classic adventure in the Langtang region of Nepal. This trekking route lies in the north part of the Kathmandu valley. It also one of the difficult trekking routes Himalayan passes with the high of 5132 meters. The main ethnical groups here are Sherpa and Tamang whose religious practices, languages and dress are much similar to those of Tibet. This trek is less trekked trails of the region because of it are requiring some basic mountaineering knowledge and climbing equipment. The beautiful Himalayan scenery, as well as beautiful Buddhist monastery, can be seen on the way. It is located at a height of 5160 meters. This trip also including Gosauikund lake during time of Trekking. The trail gradually climbs alongside the Langtang Khola, passing through the forest of Bamboo, maple, oak, and pine. Trekking on these trails is the charming features of the trek in many ways entice the trekkers to amuse their vacation with the open heart.

Ganja La Pass Trek is another popular trekking route in Nepal which starts from Syabrubesi after 8 hours driving from Kathmandu valley. This region is also known as the home of the 100 species of plants and many wild animals and birds including snow leopard, rare Himalayan wildlife black bear, and 250 species of birds. You also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful village of Tarke Gyang. The locals call themselves Sherpa but the difference then Sherpa of Khumbu region. The trip lead by experience adventure mountain guide. Spring and autumn are considered as the best season for trekking in this route. This region is also known as the home of the 100 species of plants and many wild animals and birds including snow leopard, rare Himalayan wildlife black bear, and 250 species of birds. While trekking in this route you have a great view of the mountain like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Tibetans mountains, and others speak.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After arriving at the Kathmandu airport and you will meet office manager who comes to pick up you. After you picked from the airport we will move towards our hotels and first we check out and if you come to our country in the morning time we will explore Thamel Bazaar and in the evening time we will have our welcome dinner and if you come in the evening time then we will directly join our welcome dinner.     

Day 02:  Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft) 7-8 hrs

Early in the morning, we will slowly start our trekking towards Syabrubesi after spending the wonderful night in the Kathmandu valley. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages, the lush forest of Rhododendron. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the Langtang national park and spend one night in Syabrubesi.

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft) 6 hrs

Today is our first-day walking trekking. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many suspension bridges, the many beautiful Tamang villages, the lush forest of Rhododendron and we will spend one night in the Lama Hotel.  

Day 04: Trek to Mundu (3543m/11,621ft) 6-7 hrs

We start our trekking day towards the village of Mundu. During the time of trekking, we will enjoy the mountain landscape with beautiful waterfall. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Mundu where we will spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft) 3 hrs

From the Mundu, we take the route that includes the pasture land. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the many beautiful villages, the lush forest of Rhododendron. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the Langtang national park and spend one night in Kyangjin Gompa.  

Day 06: Rest day in Kyangjin Gompa

We don’t start our trekking because today day is for rest in Kyangjin Gompa. Today whole day we will explore all around this beautiful village from where we can see many wonderful views of Mountain of this region which can be seen from this region and at the evening time we will come back to our hotel and we will spend one night in this beautiful place.

Day 07: Trek to Ganja La Phedi (4300m/14,104 ft) 5-6 hrs

We embark on our today's journey to Ganja La Phedi. During the time of trekking, we will enjoy the mountain landscape with beautiful waterfall and the lush forest of rhododendron. We will have our lunch on the way then after we will slowly start our trekking towards Ganja La Phedi where we will spend one night in this beautiful village. 

Day 08: Cross the Ganja La pass (5122m/16,800 ft) Trek to Keldang (4250m/13,940ft) 6/7 hrs

After having breakfast, we cross the Ganja La pass. After crossing the Ganja la pass we will slowly start our trekking towards Keldang. On the route, we will enjoy the wonderful views of the mountain of this route and we will spend one night in Keldang.

Day 09: Trek to Yak Kharka (4000m/13,120ft) 5/6 hrs

Spending the wonderful time in Keldang we will move towards Yak Kharka. At the time of trekking, we will pass through the many suspension bridges, the many beautiful Tamang villages, the lush forest of Rhododendron and we will spend one night in the Yak Kharka.     

Day 10: Yak Kharka to Tarke Gyang (2,590m/8,497ft) 5/6 hrs

It is the easy day of the trek. In the route, we get many opportunities to see the wonderful views of the mountain of this region. After reach in Tarkeghyang, we will explore the entire valley and come back to the hotel and have our dinner and spend one night in this valley. 

Day 11: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft) 3/4 hrs

The trail continues flat to the mountain views point. During the time of trekking, we will pass through the Langtang national park where we get an opportunity to see the 3000 species of wild flowering plants, 440 species of birds and 75 species of the wild animals and we will spend one night in Sermathang.   

Day 12: Trek to Malemchi Pul Bazaar then drive to Kathmandu 3/4 hrs

In the morning time, after having breakfast we will slowly start our trekking towards Melamchi Bazaar. After reach in Melamchi Bazaar we will have our lunch and after lunch, we will take some rest and start our trekking towards Kathmandu valley where our trekking ends. After reach in the Kathmandu valley, we will explore around the Thamel Bazaar and we will spend one night in the Kathmandu valley.      

Day 13: Final departure  

After having breakfast early in the morning your trekking guide comes to your hotel to take you in the airport. We will drop you at the international airport and see you off.
